Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trades Operative to carry out responsive repairs across our social housing properties. This role is vital in maintaining safe, comfortable homes for residents and ensuring timely resolution of maintenance issues. Key Responsibilities Carry out a variety of reactive maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting, and minor electrical work Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards Communicate professionally with tenants to deliver a positive customer experience Record completed works, materials used, and time spent using mobile devices or job sheets Participate in emergency call-out rota if required Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order Skills & Experience Proven experience in multi-trade repairs within social housing or property maintenance Competency in at least two core trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, plastering) Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Strong communication and customer service skills Familiarity with job management systems and mobile technology (desirable) Full UK driving licence (essential) Qualifications NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade or equivalent experience CSCS card (preferred) Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights, and Manual Handling training (desirable)
