The Role Due to our continued growth, we are delighted to confirm that we are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Huddersfield team. This is a permanent role and the core working hours are Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm. The Customer Fortem is currently working on a large social housing project for Kirklees District Council. Works include internal and external refurbishment to two six-storey blocks of flats in Kirklees, West Yorkshire. The full scope of works includes fire door replacement, fire stopping works of existing services on all floors and sprinkler systems to all flats and communal areas, bathroom replacements and electrical works, new boilers, low level brickwork cleaning, external wall insulation, windows and doors, solar PV to support new electrical boilers and flat roof replacement. Essential and Desirable Criteria Key duties and responsibilities: To lead, assess and be responsible for all electrical works within the kitchen and bathroom maintenance and refurbishment programs Ensure that Company Health & Safety Policies and procedures are strictly adhered to and work closely with Health & Safety Managers and Advisors Maintain and produce, on request, up-to-date Health & Safety records Ensure all Environmental and Waste Management Policies are adhered to Ensure that all staff, sub-contractors and visitors to the site are appropriately inducted Fully comply with the Company's Customer Satisfaction Policy and Procedures Ensure all directly employed personnel work within the required specification and adhere to general Company Policies Ensure that procedures and controls laid down by the Company are fully implemented by all site personnel Motivate, support and manage directly employed site staff. Provide training, coaching, appraisal and support as required to improve the performance of directly employed site staff Ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, together with the preparation of the necessary technical and commercial submission documentation for a wide variety of M&E Engineering projects across the UK and overseas. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Report to the Estimating and Bid Manager, programme and manage own workload within the MEICA estimating team * Prepare multi-discipline proposals for the Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors * Comply fully with the documented company tendering procedures * Read and fully understand client specifications and drawings * Understand documentation required for formal submissions * Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirements and solutions, including programmes and value engineering solutions * Liaison with the ‘in-house’ M&E design team and project delivery teams for each sector as necessary * Prepare material, labour, plant and subcontractor cost analysis spreadsheets * Prepare preliminary tender programmes * Organise and partake in bid initiation, technical and commercial review meetings and subsequent follow up meeting with technical and commercial directors. * Present the cost estimate in full detail to management for review and final approval. Responsible, with senior management, for the identification, evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to the company as the basis for estimating an appropriate contingency allowance for inclusion in the cost estimate. * Attend site visits and client meetings * Consider site safety, health and environmental issues * Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors and ‘in-house’ resources * Compile and collate documentation, schedules and data sheets etc. for inclusion into final formal proposal submissions * Ensure that commercial and technical submissions are fully compliant with the conditions of contract with all necessary details of clarifications and qualifications to the proposal clearly communicated. We are now recruiting for a Customer Manager to join our Southern Water delivery team based on site in Havant, to assist in the delivery of a business-critical service to ensure that customers’ expectations are exceeded. They will manage all additional contacts, proactively monitor customer commitments and appointments, and ensure all confirmed work orders are analysed to verify correct completion. Key Responsibilities: ·Management of additional contacts and manager ring backs to ensure delivery of business targets ·Liaise with customers to identify and discuss reason for additional contact ·Gain an understanding of manager ring back reason from previous job history and customers contact to resolve customers query ·Take ownership and manage customers’ expectations ·Manage the local landowners where we are taking the land for the project ·Ensure questions that arise from additional contact and manager ring backs are directed to the correct place for resolution and escalated if required ·Ensure customers are kept fully informed of developments/progress ·Take personal ownership and deliver a personal service which exceeds customer expectations ·Identify and implement solutions to resolve any issues that may result in a dissatisfied customer ·Ensure own compliance with Quality procedures ·Ensure that all conversations and agreements are recorded ·Proactive monitoring of customer commitments ·Proactively monitor customer work contact customers early to advise of problems with meeting commitments or appointments, agreeing a new date if necessary ·Deal with queries from the customer and ensure other questions that arise during contact are directed to the correct place for resolution ·Daily communications with landowners / farmers / business owners etc ·Escalate situations to Site Agent/Project Manager to assist in managing operational risk ·Relay information to other internal stakeholders in incident situations ·Ensure own compliance with contingency plan procedures during incidents ·Proactively screen confirmed work orders to verify satisfactory completion ·Proactively monitor newly confirmed operations in the live environment ·Assess status of confirmed operations and undertake further work as required ·Send satisfaction survey to customer to understand if they are fully satisfied with the work that has been completed as and when deemed necessary ·Take the appropriate action for unresolved customer issues and feedback to improve customer satisfaction ·Highlight any areas of process non-compliance so training needs can be identified Company Benefits; At Trant Engineering we offer the opportunity for career development and progression within a professional working environment. The Role: Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Mechanical and/or Electrical Estimator/Proposals Engineer, to be based at our Head Office in Southampton. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, together with the preparation of the necessary technical and commercial submission documentation for a wide variety of M&E Engineering projects across the UK and overseas. Applicants should have a background in estimating M&E projects as well as ideally having a mechanical or electrical engineering background, with a working knowledge of the related electrical and ICA elements. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Report to the Estimating and Bid Manager, programme and manage own workload within the MEICA estimating team * Prepare multi-discipline proposals for the Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors * Comply fully with the documented company tendering procedures * Read and fully understand client specifications and drawings * Understand documentation required for formal submissions * Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirements and solutions, including programmes and value engineering solutions * Liaison with the ‘in-house’ M&E design team and project delivery teams for each sector as necessary * Prepare material, labour, plant and subcontractor cost analysis spreadsheets * Prepare preliminary tender programmes * Organise and partake in bid initiation, technical and commercial review meetings and subsequent follow up meeting with technical and commercial directors. * Present the cost estimate in full detail to management for review and final approval. Responsible, with senior management, for the identification, evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to the company as the basis for estimating an appropriate contingency allowance for inclusion in the cost estimate. * Attend site visits and client meetings * Consider site safety, health and environmental issues * Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors and ‘in-house’ resources * Compile and collate documentation, schedules and data sheets etc. for inclusion into final formal proposal submissions * Ensure that commercial and technical submissions are fully compliant with the conditions of contract with all necessary details of clarifications and qualifications to the proposal clearly communicated. The Project Engineer will be reporting to a Project Manager and will be responsible for supporting all technical and commercial aspects of Electrical, Mechanical and Civil installations on site. The Project Engineer should have a background in either Mechanical, Electrical or Civil engineering but should have a good appreciation of all professions. A background in delivering water or wastewater projects would be a strong advantage. Role & Responsibilities ·Attend internal and external design review and progress meetings. ·Produce and review electrical & mechanical design documentation. ·Produce specifications and outline designs. ·Procurement of Electrical & Mechanical Equipment and support for subcontract procurement. ·Ensure that site installation works and quality match both design and appropriate industry standards. ·Record and Review as-built information. ·Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements. ·Programme Updates. ·Procurement schedules. Qualification/Competency ·Degree or HND/HNC in either Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering. ·Water Engineering background preferred but not essential. ·Good working Knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures. ·Microsoft Office and CAD packages. ·Good appreciation of Excel to a ‘Higher’ level.
