An outline of the Position
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be both site (including client facing) and office based.
You will be able to efficiently manage and oversee commercial and domestic projects throughout East Anglia, Essex, Cambridgeshire and occasionally in London.
You will possess a sound and demonstrable knowledge of all aspects of hard landscaping and a clear understanding of setting out sites, being able to programme works to suit those sites. Solid experience of materials, construction methods mixed with an ability to tie the hard and soft landscape areas together.
This will also include management of staff on site and subcontractors with the aim of achieving maximum efficiency and profitability without any compromise to our reputation for high standards of workmanship and safety. Regular meetings/updates with clients, keeping them abreast of progress.
Weekly programming of jobs and staff and regular reporting of job progress - on time and on budget.
Other aspects to the position involve sourcing and ordering materials for projects within budget and management of machinery movements and allocation to sites.
Using your communication skills, you will also regularly meet with Team Leaders on site ensuring jobs are running smoothly and also carry out team appraisals and assist with recruiting new employees.

A proven track record as a Contracts Manager within the Landscaping industry - 5 years experience preferable. Demonstrable Hard and Soft Landscaping experience together with first class Health and Safety knowledge.
Numerate, with very strong IT skills particularly Excel.
