Key Responsibilities Opening and closing the centre Keeping public areas and meeting rooms clean and tidy Setting up and clearing down rooms and equipment for events Managing recycling and identifying minor repairs (e.g. painting, plumbing) Maintaining inventory of furniture, fittings, and supplies Supporting bookings and setting up IT/audio-visual equipment Performing routine safety checks (lighting, fire alarms, building inspections) Reporting health and safety concerns Occasionally serving behind the bar and covering reception What We re Looking For Experience with basic repairs and maintenance Confidence using IT and AV equipment Understanding of Health and Safety principles Good written, verbal, and numerical skills Previous experience as a caretaker or similar role is helpful Working Hours Approx. 21 hours/week Shifts alternate weekly: Early: 7am 1pm Late: approx. 3:30pm 11pm (varies by bookings) Includes occasional Saturdays and one regular Saturday shift (usually every third Saturday) Flexibility is essential willingness to cover shifts when needed is key If you re practical, proactive, and enjoy working in a community-focused environment, we d love to hear from you.
