This role is critical in ensuring safe site access, coordination of deliveries, and compliance with National Grid safety procedures. This opportunity has arisen due to increased project workload and requires a candidate with the correct National Grid competencies and civil experience within transmission infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Act as the designated Competent Person within the substation work environment. Manage and control access to a live HV substation in accordance with National Grid NSI Safety Rules. Coordinate and supervise the safe access and egress of delivery vehicles and plant. Carry out civil operative duties in line with groundworker requirements. Ensure full compliance with HSG47 (Avoiding Danger from Underground Services). Maintain safe systems of work at all times within a high-risk transmission setting. Support site teams to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
