Counter Sales Assistant Skyline Roofing Centres are a leading supplier of roofing and building materials with branches within and around the M25. We are currently recruiting for a Counter Sales Assistant to join our small, busy Hanwell branch. This is a full time, permanent Counter Sales Assistant role. We offer full training but you must have some Trade Counter experience in a similar industry to ours. Our client is a well established family business with a number of sites in and around the Northwest supplying a large range of cellular building plastics that include, roof line products. cladding, fascias, soffits, windows, doors, roof windows and all associated products. They are now looking to recruit an Assistant Manager for one of their sites in North Wales. You will be tasked with looking after stock control, cash handling, Health & Safety, all sales including trade counter where you will interact daily with Contractors and tradespeople regarding products, pricing and availability. You will work alongside the Branch Manager as their number 2 and be involved in managing staff as well as having keyholder responsibilities and being proactive in end of day transactions and balancing. Ideally, you will have worked in a busy merchant or distribution branch before and in either an assistant management capacity or possibly on the trade counter looking for that next step up. My client has an opening for someone with good customer service and administration skills to join their team at this busy merchants. You'll be serving customers on the Trade Counter and processing orders and sales. Ideally you'll already have some experience of the roofing sector but applications are welcome from people who may have worked for a Builders / Timber merchant or who have had previous experience serving customers on a Trade Counter. Your duties will be mixed and varied as you'll be part of a small team. You may need to help out in the yard from time to time and also get involved in other tasks as required.
