The Role Develop and grow the company's solar solutions offering across Scotland and the North West (down to Carlisle). Build relationships with a broad customer base, from small independent installers and trade customers to large-scale developers, local housing authorities, and regional housebuilders. Identify and convert new business opportunities, creating tailored solutions to meet customer needs. Work collaboratively with internal product and technical teams to ensure outstanding customer service and support. Keep ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity to drive continual growth. The Person Proven track record in business development or technical sales, ideally within solar PV, renewables, or the wider construction products sector. Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, autonomous, and commercially driven - confident managing a large territory. Comfortable engaging with both small trade customers and major construction partners. Strong interest in sustainability and renewable energy solutions. Renewables Assessor - Solar PV & Storage Renewable Energy Installations Accreditation Body - Eastern Scotland Dundee, Perth, Arbroath, Forfar Self Employed Role (1 - 2 days per week); 330 per day or 165 per half day Fantastic opportunity to work with a wide and varied customer base for a renowned name. Your Role as a Renewables Assessor: In this role you will be working from home and managing your own territory carrying out MCS assessments on Solar PV and Battery Storage (EESS) installations. Ensure contractors and installers are complying to the expected codes of practice. Carrying out assessments for registered engineers, installers, and contractors. Evaluate the work and resources of applicants looking to join the scheme. Building ongoing relationships with applicants, contractors and professional bodies will be a large part of the role. Produce detailed reports as required. There are currently 1 - 2 days of work per week available, 2 assessments per day. Ideal Background for the Renewables Assessor: You must hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) technologies to be considered. You'll need to have a very strong understanding of renewable energy installations and related codes of practice and the MCS Scheme. Additionally, holding a membership with IET, IEE or CIBSE or equivalent would be of significant interest too. If you also hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heat Pump technologies, there is the potential for extra days of work. Be personable and able to build relationships. Confident writing reports. At Better Planet, we re 'one stop shop' for different types of renewable energy technologies. We are looking for an experienced Electrician who has the drive and organisational skills to enhance our team. We are the largest heat pump installer in the South East, and we also install solar PV, batteries and EV chargers. Key Requirements: Electricians must hold the Electro technical Services NVQ at Level 2. Must have 18th Edition. Must have a minimum of two years experience. Knowledge of all UK regulations relating to electrical work on site. Confident in reading and understanding schematics. The candidate must be able to work as part of a team and be a confident individual who has the ability to work under their own initiative. A current UK driving licence there is a lot of travel as we operate throughout the South East. Key Responsibilities Will Include: Attending project sites to connect electrical supplies, both single phase and three phase, to the different renewable energy technologies (including heat pumps, solar PV systems, underfloor heating, fan coil units). Understanding all electrical aspects of our projects for both domestic and commercial projects. Giving technical support to other people on site with regards to the regulations affecting electrical work. Carrying out all work to extremely high standards of workmanship. Adhering to time requirements we work from 8am 4pm with an hour travelling each way on your own time.
