Key responsibilities as our Supervisor will include:
Reporting accidents and damage when it occurs, keeping the vehicle maintained, clean and tidy. Having suitable van stock, which is being replenished, and that they are using materials and equipment efficiently
Escalating to the Contract Manager any serious events or occurrences that need to be addressed urgently, and highlight key issues, trends or issues that could affect service delivery performance longer term if not addressed
Being accountable for the jobs you manage, supporting the Operations Centre when pulled upon to deal with technical queries or general issues
Scoping and surveying work such as Voids, Bathrooms and Kitchens providing clear detail so the job can be coded up using Schedule of Rates
Understanding each toolbox talk topic and delivering confidently yourself, ensuring that operatives attend when required
Reinforcing the Health and Safety culture by ensuring that company practices and policies are being followed and adhered to by you and others in the field, undertaking documented observations, highlighting issues and trends as they occur
Providing escalation as part of an out of hours service, attending site where requested

- Trade City & Guilds/ NQV qualification (Or relevant experience with strong references)
- Full UK driving License
- Multi Trade Discipline
- Experience in repairing sliding sash windows, multi point locks, general repairs to upvc and aluminium windows
- Experience in glazing works
- Experience within the maintenance environment
- At least 3 years experience in plumbing or other multi building trades. This includes tiling, carpentry, decorating, electrical, plastering etc.
- Manage Impress stock within van to minimise non working time
- Excellent ability to operate a PDA devise and update works status’s and image upload
- Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of schedule of rates
- Knowledge of the London Area

The Voids Supervisor role:
Planning and supervising the running of void refurbishments and on occasion, day to day repairs, so the work is completed on time, to required quality and cost, effectively.
Supervising direct labour and subcontractors
Carrying out property surveys and the pricing up of the works accurately
Organization of the workload, labour, plant and materials
Ensuring compliance with statutory requirement, company policy and procedures on Health & Safety.
Communicating targets, costs, progress, and variances back to client surveyors and management regularly.
Managing site administration and records.
Carrying out effective inductions to the workforce.
What will you bring as a Voids Supervisor?
A trade background (all trades considered) and qualified to NVQ level 2 or above/ equivalent is preferred.
An SSSTS would also be advantageous but not essential
Proven supervisory experience in a similar role preferably within a social housing or an insurance related environment
You will be customer centric in your approach to monitoring productivity. This is at the heart of Ian Williams’ approach to their excellent relationships with customers/tenants, our directly employed operatives, subcontractors and the client. Therefore, you’ll genuinely value building and maintaining exceptional relationships.
