Assistant Quantity Surveyor UK Leading Housebuilder Salary Up to £45,000 (Depending on Experience) + Car Allowance, Pension, Health Location: Guildford About the Company: My client have been established as a housebuilder for over 60 years and currently have regional office bases throughout the UK. They are recognised as the highest quality major national housebuilder, having been awarded an exclusive 5 Star Housebuilder Award by the Homebuilders Federation. Projects to date range vastly in terms of specification and construction technique dependant on the location of the regional office. Major projects include multi-unit RC frame structures in Central London as well as town and village regeneration and low rise traditional build housing. About the Role: My client is currently looking for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team. The projects are based around the Surrey area. The site team will consist of a Lead and Project surveyor to assist you with day-to-day duties, you will also be expected to be able to manage a variety of your own packages. This is a career enhancing project that will add real value to your CV and experience moving into more senior positions later on in your career. Duties to include but not be limited to; Assisting with calculating take-offs Assisting with the procurement of materials/subcontractors Assisting with preparing BOQs /estimating Assisting with the management of Subcontracts valuation, variations etc. Assisting with the preparation of monthly reports and reconciliations Candidate Requirements: Must have a minimum of roughly 2 years Quantity Surveying experience Ideally have worked for a Developer, would consider main contractor Must have residential build experience Must be able to demonstrate job loyalty About the Benefits and Reward: Basic salary of up to £45,000 (depending on experience) Company Car Allowance Pension Healthcare
