Our client a well-known civil engineering main contractor based in southern Yorkshire is seeking a permanent Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their well established team.
The company operates in a number of civil engineering markets however we are in need of either a SQS that is looking for the next step up in their career or an MQS seeking a new challenge. The successful applicant would be managing 1 x SQS, 1 x QS and 1 x Assistant QS. The projects are all NEC contracts and ranged from £100K to around £1million in value and in any given week they have around 20-30 live sites. We are seeking an applicant that has good NEC knowledge and CVR reports both producing their own and compiling the teams reports into one overall division CVR then reporting this to the end client. Applicants that are used to selecting and setting up subbies on NEC contracts is also required. As this is a long-term civils framework whilst being contractual is important maintaining and building upon client relationships is important. The ideal candidate would have main contractor experience can do the above but also has managed other surveyors previously.
