Plant Fitters / Service Engineers I am looking for motivated Fitters or Engineers at all levels for a brilliant opportunity with a large industry player. Key Responsibilities: Carry out pre-delivery inspections of equipment. Install and commission of heavy plant (crushers, screeners etc) on site. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults. What You'll Bring: Experience in Plant Fitting or related industry, ideally with experience working on Recycling or Quarry related equipment (screeners, crushers etc.) Expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical fault-finding and repair, with the ability to read and follow schematics. Welding and fabrication skills. Positive attitude to work, motivated to learn and earn. Capable of using IT equipment / diagnostics. Driving Licence is essential and willing to travel plus potential stay over if required. If you have experience working on Plant or Heavy Industrial equipment, strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of Hydraulics, Welding or similar, and want to explore a new area then we are keen to speak with you.

This 6,000-acre site is only accessible via the Aggregate Industries ferry from Benderloch so you could either do a daily trip or stop onsite in free en-suite accommodation. Working on a 7on 7off shift pattern with over time readily available. You’ll be working in a newly renovated workshop to maintain heavy mobile equipment such as 100 tonne capacity Dump Trucks, Excavators & Loading Shovels * You’ll attend reactive maintenance onsite to various heavy mobile equipment including Caterpillar 992 Wheel Loaders & 777G Dump Trucks * You’ll work on projects & PPM’s to help keep our mobile plant equipment operational. * For minor maintenance tasks you’ll train and develop our onsite operators. * With a focus on Health & Safety across our business this role is no different, you’ll carry out all repairs safely and continue to maintain a hazard free environment. The Role We are seeking HGV mechanics to look after the maintenance and repair of our growing fleet of lorries and machines. Responsibilities · Maintenance and repair of all items of quarry plant and machinery including crushers, screeners, excavators, articulated loading shovels, teleporters & tractors. · Maintenance and repair of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, including articulated lorries, tractor units, concrete bottles, tippers, trailers & vans. · Fault finding and preventative maintenance. · Coordination or service and repairs. · Schedule and completion of preventative maintenance activities. · Completion of all task in accordance with Health & Safety regulations. · Maintain maintenance area in a clean and orderly fashion; keep work area clean at all times Qualifications and Skills · Extensive experience with diesel machinery. · Experience working with quarry machinery a distinct advantage. · Trained in heavy plant equipment. · Ability to work as part of a team and without supervision. · Full clean driving license. Description We are recruiting for a Service Engineer / Plant Fitter to diagnose faults and repair/ maintain a range of plant equipment in the Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, West Midlands. The ideal candidate will be dealing with clients on site and must be professional and maintain high levels of customer service at all times. You must also be able to work on your own initiative. The key parts of the role will be maintaining plant and equipment to ensure breakdowns are kept to a minimum and that utilisation levels are maintained. Attending breakdowns on client sites as well as attending sites to service equipment regularly. Strip down and repair or maintain plant and equipment whilst observing all necessary Health & Safety procedures applicable to the item(s) in question. Ensure accurate work records are completed fully and signed by site operatives including a detailed record of items used. This role would be ideally suited to a Plant Fitter, Mechanic or Service Engineer who has worked on plant equipment and has excellent diesel and petrol engine experience as well as a good mechanical equipment background. Equally a strong background with Tool Hire equipment would be considered also.
