Design Coordinator Construction & Engineering South Yorkshire £40k - £45k + Benefits We're currently working with a specialist design and build contractor to recruit a Design Coordinator to support the delivery of complex construction and engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience coordinating design information who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment. Rather than carrying out the design itself, you'll work closely with the Design Manager, external consultants and project delivery teams to ensure design information is issued, coordinated and managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle. The business has a strong pipeline of secured work and is looking for someone who values long-term stability, variety and the opportunity to develop within a growing organisation. What You'll Be Doing; Supporting the Design Manager in coordinating design information across multiple live projects Managing the flow, control and distribution of drawings, calculations and technical documentation Liaising with external design consultants, project managers and site teams to ensure information is issued accurately and on programme Reviewing design documentation and assisting with the coordination of technical queries during construction Monitoring design programmes and helping to ensure key milestones are achieved Attending project and design meetings where required Supporting continuous improvements to design management processes and document control What You'll Need; Previous experience in a Design Coordinator, Assistant Design Manager, Technical Coordinator or Document Control role within construction or engineering Good understanding of the construction project lifecycle and design coordination process Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Confident communicating with consultants, clients and operational teams A proactive approach and desire to build a long-term career within a growing business Why Apply?
