Securing the engagement of younger trade professionals is essential for the company's long-term growth. Raising awareness of our company, brands, and products among this demographic is a critical driver for future success. Our strategy involves engaging with apprentices and young trade professionals early in their education and careers to foster brand loyalty and product familiarity. We aim to support college lecturers by offering expert product training that encompasses both safety and operational guidelines, preparing students for their careers as qualified tradespeople. Additionally, obtaining a recognized certification in DEWALT power tools will enhance students' employability upon completion of their training programs. Training and education will be central to achieving this objective.
Key Tasks
Collaborate with the Senior DEWALT Academy Training Manager to formulate a training programme aimed at engaging young trade professionals and educational institutions.
Support the conducting of thorough research to understand the demographics, prior knowledge, learning preferences, and specific needs of our target audience. Use surveys, interviews and focus groups to gather detailed insights.
Support the development of appropriate training materials aligned with the strategy and research feedback whether through practical face-to-face sessions, digital modules on our MYTOOLS Training platform, or video content. This will be achieved through working with the Senior DEWALT Academy Training Manager.
Establish relationships with technical colleges to become the power tool trainer of choice for our industry,
Supporting and providing guidance to Trade Schools ensuring they are compliant with ever changing regulations, e.g dust, noise, vibration etc…
The delivery of training to key targeted colleges once the curriculum and training material has been developed. This will be across your region.
Measure all training activity to provide full accountability and ROI.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for experienced Electrical Installation specialists to join our professional Electrical Curriculum and Apprenticeship teams in Lecturing and/or Assessing positions based at our purpose-built Construction Academy.
You will teach, assess, and monitor full time and Apprentice students engaged in programmes from Levels 1 to 3, support and facilitate student learning, and liaise closely with management and other College departments. As part of these roles you may also be required to deliver part-time evening courses, or assess learners away from College.
