As an Entry-Level Estimator, you'll be the bridge between a blueprint and a finished home. You will support our senior team in determining the costs of materials, labor, and time required for our residential projects. Perform Take-offs: Quantify materials (lumber, drywall, flooring, etc.) from architectural drawings. Vendor Liaison: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive and accurate quotes. Data Management: Assist in maintaining our pricing database to ensure our bids remain sharp and current. Project Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers to ensure the transition from "estimated cost" to "actual build" is seamless. Site Visits: Occasionally head out to active sites to see how your estimates translate to the real world. What You Bring to the Table You don't need a decade of experience, but you do need a solid foundation: Attribute What We're Looking For Education Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). Mindset An "eagle eye" for detail. You're the person who catches the missing decimal point. Tech Savvy Comfortable with Excel and a quick learner of estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Stack, or Planswift). ESTIMATOR/SURVEYOR Are you a detail-driven Estimator or Surveyor with a background in interior fit-out, drywall, or glazing? This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist contractor working on high-quality projects across London and the South East. Whether you're already London-based or located in Farnham or nearby towns, this role offers variety, exposure to premium projects, and the chance to work closely with senior leadership in a commercially focused environment. Salary 35,000 - 40,000 (depending on experience) Paid travel to London twice a week (if Surrey-based) Hours 7:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday As an Estimator/Surveyor you'll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for supply and installation. Ensuring all costs, risks, and opportunities are fully understood at tender stage, supporting strong margin delivery once projects are secured. Beyond tendering, you'll play an active role in project handover, contract administration, and tracking project profitability. Key responsibilities for the Estimator/Surveyor include, Review incoming enquiries to assess suitability and alignment with core project focus Analyse tender documentation in detail and raise RFIs where required Complete electronic take-offs using Bluebeam Issue enquiries to the supply chain and analyse returned pricing Identify programme and PC dates and align with current workload Liaise with the Design Manager to obtain project-specific drawings and samples Prepare detailed cost plans using Excel and ERP systems Produce tender summaries for internal review Complete tender clarifications and submit quotations Update CRM systems (HubSpot) with tender values and follow-up activity Support the handover of secured projects to the Project Manager Assist with monthly applications, variations, and tracking project profitability Support preparation of draft final accounts Ensure all project documentation is complete and well-organised The ideal Estimator/Surveyor will need the following, Experience as an Estimator or Surveyor within construction or fit-out Background in drywall construction or glazing is a strong advantage Highly detail-focused with excellent accuracy Comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative team Able to manage pressure, deadlines, and multiple tenders Proficient in Excel, Word, and CRM systems Professional, commercially aware, and eager to develop This role offers flexibility to be based in Farnham or surrounding towns, with paid travel to London twice a week, or fully London-based.
