Your new role You will carry out building surveys and produce detailed reports across disrepair, damp and mould, and fire safety in particular, and also assist across capital programme projects. You will complete detailed inspection reports across your selected works areas, and will also assist with any other general ad-hoc duties across the department as required during the contract. This is an office-based role requiring attendance on site for each working day. MMP Consultancy are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to work an interim contract with a public sector housing organisation in South London.
This is an interim role, urgent start for a contract covering sickness which could go from a couple of weeks to a few months. Outside IR35 with a varied rate dependent upon experience.
Title: Maintenance Surveyor (Disrepair)
Salary: £25 - £28 per hour (Outside IR35)
Location: South East London
Contract: Sickness cover 2-12 Weeks (One Week Notice)
Availability: Urgently Available
Key Duties:
* Disrepair cases will need to be picked up and managed through to completion.
* Managing responsive and urgent repairs as per tenants' requests.
* Working on a remedial repair backlog from a spread sheet which is already in place.
* Working with a single contractor to agree works/raise orders/inspect completed works
* Candidate will be required to go into resident's property for inspections but will work from home majority.
* Manage database input and use computer effectively
* Customer service expectations, responding to residents and offering excellent service
