We are seeking a Technical Co-Ordinator on behalf of our client who are establishing new offices in the West Midlands. Initially working from home. Our client are a Specialist Leading Facade Contractor working on projects of between £0.2m and £2.5m in value, You will be required to provide technical and production information on glazing and façade elements. Working with the preconstruction department during the project handover phase to review the contract works and optimise the projects on Logikal/Schuecal to help improve margins and highlight efficiencies. For projects in the design phase you will offer support to the design department, providing project revisions on Logikal and reviewing the designs proposed to highlight any errors that the designers may have created; remove errors and rationalise the projects in advance of the work packages being provided to the procurement department. Working in conjunction with the procurement department to ensure work package items are scheduled on time and in budget to allow the company to achieve its desired operational aims. You will be responsible for the, preparation of tender, conceptual, elevation, general arrangement, detail, setting out and workshop drawings/schedules etc, as well as administration, liaison and clerical duties associated with the projects by the drawing/design office. Attend sites and carry out surveys, attend design meetings with architects, clients and suppliers. You may be required to attend seminars, lectures and courses to improve your own and the company's standing within the industry. You may be asked to carry out additional tasks outside your normal duties, which will be agreed to on an individual basis as and when they arise.
