The role would consist of:
Working closely with our Contracts Manager in an assisting role to include setting up new jobs, site measuring for ordering of materials, and assisting in quoting when required
Site supervising newbuilds, asbestos roof strip and renewal, refurbishment and maintenance projects
Some occasional office based work including preparing method statements and risk assessments, previous knowledge of which is essential
Daily site visits as requested by Contracts Manager
Complete operative site inductions and toolbox talks
Review, assess and ensure all H&S standards and procedures are followed
Ensure timely handover of completed projects
Oversee all works and run a clean and well functioning site
Organising of labour, labourer attendance and timekeeping of labour
Assisting subcontractors with any issues or requirements
Liaising with suppliers for ongoing supply of materials
Liaising with scaffolding, plant and other relevant companies
Liaising with clients as first point of contact on projects

In depth knowledge of various roofing systems including composite, twin skin, built up systems and flat roofing, and a strong understanding of roofing products
Experience of working in a similar supervisory position for a minimum of 5 years, both as a roofer and as a supervisor

Good communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
High quality standards of workmanship
Capable of adhering to procedures to ensure project safety and compliance
