Job Title: Fire / Smoke Damper Remedial Engineer Location: Watford, Greater London Salary/Benefits: 35k - 55k + Training & Benefits Our client is a leading name within the building compliance industry, who operate independently and are known for their high levels of service. They are seeking a hardworking and highly skilled Fire / Smoke Damper Remedial Technician. You will be inspecting and testing Smoke and Fire Dampers and performing remedial duties as required. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge and will need to be flexible to travel in line with company requirements. Experience / Qualifications: - Strong experience working as a Fire / Smoke Damper Remedial Engineer - Will hold the Fire Damper Testing ticket - Excellent technical knowledge, including: BS9999 guidelines - Open to travel when required - Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills - Hardworking attitude The Role: - Attending a range of client sites to inspect, test and carry out remedial duties on Fire / Smoke Dampers - Cleaning existing systems and ensuring they are in good working order - Installing of access doors - Remedial duties, such as: TEK screws, changing links and collars - Making recommendations for remedial duties - Keeping an accurate log of works undertaken and collating detailed technical reports - Meeting with clients to provide updates on projects - Working in line with HSE guidelines - Maintaining excellent levels of service Alternative Job titles: Fire Damper Technician, Ventilation Engineer, Smoke Damper Technician, Fire Damper Tester.
