Plant and HGV Fitter Purpose of the Role The Plant and HGV Fitter will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), plant machinery, and associated equipment. The shifts on offer at the business are based on Monday to Friday – with weekend overtime available if required.

We supply our quarry products to customers in the commercial and domestic markets around Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Offaly and Louth. Our precast is supplied all over the UK and Ireland and our calcium carbonate is supplied to feed mills all over Ireland.
Keegan Group have an immediate requirement for HGV mechanic to join our team, based in Rathmolyon, County Meat just 25 mins from Navan and 15 mins from Enfield.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work on large scale plant and quarry machinery. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to continue their development.
The Role
We are seeking HGV mechanics to look after the maintenance and repair of our growing fleet of lorries and machines.
Responsibilities
· Maintenance and repair of all items of quarry plant and machinery including crushers, screeners, excavators, articulated loading shovels, teleporters & tractors.
· Maintenance and repair of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, including articulated lorries, tractor units, concrete bottles, tippers, trailers & vans.
· Fault finding and preventative maintenance.
· Coordination or service and repairs.
· Schedule and completion of preventative maintenance activities.
· Completion of all task in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
· Maintain maintenance area in a clean and orderly fashion; keep work area clean at all times
Qualifications and Skills
· Extensive experience with diesel machinery.
· Experience working with quarry machinery a distinct advantage.
· Trained in heavy plant equipment.
· Ability to work as part of a team and without supervision.
