Senior Civil Engineer
Hours: 07:30 – 17:00 (45 per week)
Due to exponential growth within our clients Capital Projects division, we are recruiting for Civil Engineers to join their project and play a key role in project delivery, providing our client the best value solutions to diverting critical utility assets.
The Role:
There will be opportunities to manage and deliver projects as part of this ambitious programme of works and we’ll be relying on you to make sure that everything complies with current H&S, environmental and CDM requirements
Time and cost are just as important, as are the planning and preconstruction activities before works commence on site, and these are just some of the duties you will be involved with:
* Setting out of the detailed works as per the IFC drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis
* Liaise with Site/Project Manager regarding methods, quality assurance, testing requirements, selection and methods of construction and production of RAMS
* Checking Inspection Test Plans and that installation on site is correct according to specifications
* Assisting with task briefings and resolving technical problems
* Ensure quality control is adhered to and activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with company Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures

A degree in civil engineer, or equivalent, practical engineering experience, ideally within the utilities industry, specifically within utility diversion works, drainage and deep excavations, with a focus on risk assessments & method statements.
