Working with an established floor fitting contractor based in Burnley with over 10 years’ experience, specialising in all areas of flooring, from carpet and solid wood to vinyl and safety flooring – we are looking for a fantastic Floor Fitter to join the team.
These guys pride themselves on their exceptional level of workmanship, they really strive to build strong relationships with their clients to be the go-to company for everyone’s flooring needs!
We are looking for someone who is motivated, proactive, a little creative and enjoys their work, someone who is confident and responsible and has the right attitude! This would be the perfect opportunity for someone who maybe is working self employed but is looking for more stability.
As a Floor Fitter your role and responsibilities will be:
Measuring up floor space and estimating the amount of material needed
Designing styles / being creative and planning what fits in with certain styles
Preparation of all types of sub floor (LVT / Karndean / Amtico, etc.)
Fitting of vinyl, flat lay, cap & cove, etc and installation of carpets and carpet tiles
Installation of carpets and carpet tiles
Cleaning, levelling, and sealing the bare floor with compound if required
Providing a responsive and professional floor laying service to customers, ensuring a high level of customer service is always delivered
Maintaining and monitoring the supply, stock and use of materials, ensuring only quality materials are utilised for any repair work undertaken
To be a successful Floor Fitter, you’ll need to have the following skills, experience and attributes:
Experience in a similar role is essential but on the job training will be provided
Enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and follow direction
A confident, positive, pro-active and ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
Be an effective communicator with both colleagues and customers
Have excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Be a highly organised, capable, motivated, proactive individual
Must have driving licence and a blue CSCS card
In return you will receive £30,000 - £36,000 plus excellent benefits including a company van and fuel card, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) full work uniform, a Christmas bonus as well as shut down along with various team building activities through the year.

Area Sales Manager – Laminate Surfaces
Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Interior / Exterior Laminate Surfaces
Industry Sector: Fabricators, Interior Products, Exterior Products, Laminates, Surfaces, Architects, Interior Designers, Retail Store Interiors, A&D, Main Contractors, Shop Fitting, Facades, Commercial Projects, Contractors and Distributors
Area to be covered: Ireland & Scotland (ideally based Dublin) will consider candidates in Scotland
Remuneration: €35,000 - €44,000 + up to 40% bonus paid quarterly

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Interior / Exterior Laminate Surfaces will involve:
* Field sales position selling our clients manufactured range of laminate / compact laminate surfaces
* All of your time will be selling to commercial fabricators, door manufacturers, worktop manufacturers, end users and shop fitters
* You will have a small interactions with architects and designers
* Targeting a wide variety of sectors including: commercial, education, healthcare, transport, washroom, hospitality and retail to name just a few (end users include schools, hospitals, high street stores, commercial office, sports centres, labs etc)
* Increased focussing on retail sector due to high turnover of fit-outs, managing and developing opportunities.
* Will be required to work closely with the dedicated specification and business development teams
* Working with typical order values of between £1,000 - £250k
* Will require travel to Scotland 3 times per month on average
The ideal applicant will be a Area Sales Manager – Interior / Exterior Laminate Surfaces with:
* Must have field sales experience within the construction industry selling into fabricators, door manufacturer, end-users, interior designers, architects,
* Must have a proven field sales background within interior / exterior building products
* Must be experience working on similar commercial projects
* Knowledge of selling through fabricators and distribution
* Open to a wide variety of decorative, tactile / aesthetically pleasing interior products such as; carpets, curtains, fabrics, flooring, wall coverings, textiles, paint etc
* Ideally some prior experience of selling into the commercial and public sector
* Self-sufficient problem solver with a learn as you develop attitude
* Sales attributes such as negotiation skills, commercial awareness and strong decision making will be advantageous
