Duties for the role of Disrepair & Surveying Manager in Redhill, Surrey include: To lead and manage a team of inspectors and surveyors ensuring close liaison between office-based staff and the mobile trades teams. To jointly control and report on a 2m budget. Manage a small team of inspectors, providing leadership for the team to ensure that staff develop their skills and are supported, but that there is also a strong culture of respect, performance and productivity. Ensure the delivery of appropriate surveying, inspection and remedial works, both in reaction to repairs and complaints, but also to include preventative inspections and works. All carried out to time, cost, quality and budget. Ensure that service users (tenants and leaseholders) are fully consulted about proposed works and remain engaged throughout the works and to satisfactory completion. Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to communicate repairs performance, identify opportunities for improving the effectiveness of the service and implementing these improvement plans effectively. Support the complaints procedure for the team and investigate and resolve complaints. Support the overall process of the repairs service by ensuring the team carry out quality pre and post inspections. Work collaboratively with the surveyors within the team and the Asset Manager to ensure the full range of surveying duties are delivered, including Estate Inspections, TDI surveys, mutual exchanges etc. Manage the damp and mould process, ensuring the surveyors carry out correct diagnosis before handover for remedial works. Full UK driving licence and ability to travel. Electrical Inspector required ASAP based in Central London. This role is on an ongoing contract. You will be required to: Inspect, specify and analyse repairs required to a range of electrical defects, both domestic and commercial/industrial (including major defects). To include the production and presentation of detailed technical specifications and reports on the councils computer systems. Monitor and check repairs and maintenance and investment work to ensure that they are complete to the required standard and timescales. Specify all the work necessary for the rectification of a defect. Manage and monitor installation, service and maintenance contracts to ensure compliance with the Councils requirements. Provide technical support in disrepair cases, ensuring that electrical repairs are carried out on time and in line with agreed standards. Compile technical reports and all other relevant documentation for presentation at court or other audiences. To represent the council at court or other audiences in relation to electrical issues. Manage contractor performance on a daily basis Candidates will be required to have: HNC in Electrical Engineering Services or equivalent or be working toward this qualification or have extensive appropriate experience and Qualified to C&G 2391 & 2392, C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2 with AM1 & 2 Detailed understanding of all Regulations, Standards, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety procedures.
