We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join a large Principal Contractor delivering a major new Energy from Waste Scheme based in the east of Scotland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the site's quality management system complies with ISO 9001, client and company requirements, as well as demonstrating leadership in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Site Quality team and deliver Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
Lead the implementation and compliance of project HSEQ requirements
Ensure site quality management system complies with ISO 9001, client and company requirements
Enforce Site Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) measures and procedures, including inspection of incoming goods
Coordinate QA/QC activities between client, stakeholders and supply chain partners

Relevant professional experience as Quality Manager working within a heavy industrial environment.
Welding Technical training (e.g. Welding Specialist, Welding Engineer)
Past experience acting as Lead Auditor for ISO 9001
Well-developed knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent

Your projects will cover a wide range of drainage related issues, from emergency call-outs and blockages to cleaning pipes during regular maintenance programmes together with follow up CCTV survey. You will work with a variety of clients and sites: industrial, commercial, residential to the specialist sector such as utility, road, rail etc.
The pay rate will be negotiable, based on previous experience.
In order to be considered for this position you will need to meet the following criteria:
Experience in CCTV and familiar with high pressure jetting equipment.
Manual of sewer condition classification pipe to MSCC5 essential and brick qualifications desirable.
Experience with WINCAN VX.
IT literate with ability to use Work Management systems and MS Office.
Experience of working to strict operational regulations.
Experience of working to strict KPI's.
Full, Clean Driving Licence and CSCS card.
Able to demonstrate excellent customer focus skills and awareness.
The ability to work in a team with a flexible attitude.
Ability to multi-task and problem solve within a dynamic environment.
Excellent time management capability.
Exceptional organisational, planning and communication skills.

The Clerk of Works will be based on site most of the time or make regular visits to the site or sites; if more than one site is being worked on by the Service Providers (Contractors). The Clerk of Works will be vigilant in their inspections of a large range of technical, as well as Health and Safety aspects of the work.
The main responsibilities of the role will include the following;
Be self-motivated, self-supporting with the best interests of the project and residents uppermost.
Familiar with the specification of works any relevant drawings, change orders and written instructions, checking them, and using them as a reference when inspecting the work
Make visual inspections of the sites and work taking place. Provide support to both the Service Provider and Project Manager.
Take measurements and samples on site to make sure that the work and the materials being used meet the specifications and quality standards
Be familiar with legal requirements and checking that the work complies with them.
Have a working knowledge of health and safety legislation and bring any shortfalls observed to the attention of the person(s) concerned, as well as the Project Manager.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;
BTEC Higher National qualification (HNC/HND)
foundation degree or degree in construction or engineering or relevant experience.
Level 2 SVQ/NVQ Diploma in Site Inspection or relevant experience.
Driving Licence and access to their own transport.
