Quantity Surveyor Outside IR35 Construction, Civils, HV Cabling Scotland The Company NES Fircroft are working on behalf of a global power cabling business actively sourcing a Quantity Surveyor to join their high profile renewables project. The role will be initially 12 months, offering expertise in the Quantity Surveying field to support the project from a civils package perspective The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team, other quantity surveyors and the Subcontracts Manager across the project in reviewing and managing contracts and managing bill of quantities across construction elements associated with the project. This will also involve discussing, assessing and agreeing stage payments with subcontractors alongside evaluating and managing any additional work cost associated. This role is an initial 6 month contract with likelihood of extension. The site is a high profile cable route from Spittal to Peterhead in Scotland. Site presence will be required but rotation and flexibility can be considered, with our clients offices based in Perth or Inverness also Essentials: Experience in an engineering QS role (construction, power, HVDC Cabling) Proficient contract review within construction 5 Years + experience in this setting Strong communicator, able to collaborate across functional teams Opening and reinstatement of jointpits, cable pulling etc. to be performed by sub-contractors so similar experience would be appreciated.
