We are currently recruiting for a freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction company on a variety of projects Knowledge of NEC essential. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, from initial calculations to final accounts. Key responsibilities include preparing tender and contract documents, negotiating contracts with contractors and suppliers, monitoring costs, preparing valuations and cost reports, and providing advice on cost management to the project team. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and managing variations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You should possess a good understanding of construction contracts, methods and practices, as well as excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills. In addition, you should have a keen eye for detail, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a proactive and can-do attitude. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a steady pipeline of highways and public realm schemes within a well-established framework environment.
