This is a varied role where no two days are the same you ll be involved in everything from planned maintenance to urgent repairs, as well as supporting campus activities and events. What you ll be doing Your main base will be Knights Park Campus, with occasional work at nearby halls of residence and future new builds. Duties of the Facilities Maintenance Operative include: Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) and regular building inspections. Responding to reactive maintenance issues, such as plumbing, electrical, and minor repair works. Fixing and maintaining facilities (e.g., lamp changes, unblocking sinks/toilets, fixing taps, minor carpentry, painting, decorating). Using mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot systems, interpret building drawings, and support technical issues. Managing equipment, tools, and stock relevant to your role. Providing monthly maintenance reports and meeting with your supervisor for updates. Delivering excellent customer service to students and staff.
