Junior Electrical Estimator Location: Orpington, Kent Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience) Job Overview: We are seeking a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our expanding Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate estimates for electrical installation projects across various sectors such as commercial, industrial, and residential. You will work closely with our project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure all tenders are cost-effective and submitted on time. Key Responsibilities: Estimating & Costing: Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, including material, labor, and equipment. Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare accurate pricing. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Ensure estimates align with project scope and client requirements. Create detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) based on project needs. Tender Preparation: Complete tender documentation for submission to clients. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, project managers, and contractors as required. Assist in negotiating and securing contracts based on tender submissions. Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate project risks, ensuring they are factored into the estimate.
