A Design and Build Contractor generally working on care home projects. Very secure pipeline of projects in the years ahead. Lots of career opportunity within this growing company.
The Project
You will be No1 on the project working as a Senior Site Manager with supporting managers in due course, reporting to the Operatons. Theproject is an 80 bed care home, which is RC Frame construction with sheet piling and large retaining wall to stablise the sloping site. The projects has a £4M M&E package including air con and sprinkler system, so an understanding on these elements is essential. The overall scheme is a £16M D&B Contract.
The Role
Main Responsibilities include:
Liaise with all other departments, to ensure cost effective delivery of the project
Provide clear leadership, direction and motivation to all staff within the department to ensure that work programmes are fulfilled in accordance with the budgets/forecasts.
Ensure layouts, including roads, sewers and open spaces are designed effectively and sensitively to maximise profitability.
Ensure that roads, sewers and open spaces are adopted as soon as possible in order to minimise the financial expenditure.
Ensure the companies Best Practice Operation and Procedure Guide is implemented and adhered to.
Liaise with all departments to advise on buildability, costs, risk, quality and any design issues.
