We are seeking a skilled and motivated Development Business Partner to take a leading role in delivering our new homes programme and identifying future development opportunities that align with our mission and values. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a pivotal role that will influence the growth and sustainability of Alpha. You will lead on the identification, appraise and delivery of land and property opportunities, ensuring that new developments meet Alpha's design, quality and financial standards. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the Board, you will play a key role in shaping strategic decisions and ensuring all projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and in accordance with Homes England and other regulatory frameworks. You will build and maintain productive partnerships with Local Authorities, Homes England, the NHS, landowners and developers, working collaboratively to secure opportunities that support the organisation's long-term objectives. The role also requires close liaison with internal colleagues across housing, finance and asset management to ensure seamless project delivery, effective budget management and successful handover of completed schemes. You will hold a relevant professional or technical qualification and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of planning policy, procurement processes and building contracts. Experience of undertaking financial viability appraisals would be advantageous. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as you will be required to represent Alpha in meetings with key stakeholders, community groups and partners. You will be self-motivated, analytical and commercially aware, with the ability to make informed decisions and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
