Review tender documentation, identify risks and opportunities, and propose value engineering solutions where appropriate. Obtain and evaluate quotations from manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors. Produce detailed cost breakdowns and Bills of Quantities to support tender submissions. Surveys & Technical Input Undertake pre-tender and pre-contract surveys of existing buildings and façade systems. Assess condition, substrates, fixing methods and refurbishment requirements. Identify fire safety and compliance considerations that may impact project scope and cost. Attend site visits, client meetings and design team meetings. Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants and clients to clarify technical requirements and specifications. Skills & Experience Essential Minimum 5 years' estimating experience within façades, rainscreen cladding, specialist envelope, roofing or related sectors. Proven experience pricing refurbishment and overcladding projects. Strong understanding of rainscreen cladding systems and façade products including aluminium cassette, brick slip, terracotta, fibre cement and composite panel systems. Knowledge of Structural Framing Systems (SFS) such as Metsec, Sigmat or equivalent. Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications and survey reports. Strong commercial awareness and numerical skills. Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
