What You'll Be Doing Lead the commercial delivery of multiple projects from inception to completion. Review tender documentation in detail to identify risks and opportunities. Approve and manage contractors/suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met. Prepare contractual correspondence, including EOT notifications and claims. Monitor budgets, forecasts, and project performance, ensuring robust cost control. Prepare subcontracts and manage them to ensure compliance with scope and contractual terms. Produce and present reports on project progress, commercial position, and solutions to challenges. Build and maintain strong client and PQS relationships to secure repeat business. What We're Looking For Degree in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics (or equivalent) recognised by SCSI and/or RICS. Minimum 6 years' experience in MEP quantity surveying. Experience on large-scale data centre projects is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of RIAI, FIDIC, and JCT contracts. Proven commercial acumen and understanding of market conditions. Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve contractual conflicts. Attention to detail and excellent stakeholder management skills. Role Overview We are seeking one Senior Project Manager and one Project Manager to join our client-side team and lead Stage 3 of a major data centre program. This phase involves launching a single-stage competitive tender with at least two contractors for a mix of M&E major works , including BMS, fire, and security systems , in a live Tier 3 data centre environment . Key Responsibilities Client-Side Leadership: Represent the client's interests at all times, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money. Tender Management: Prepare and launch Stage 3 tender process with multiple contractors. Project Delivery: Oversee M&E major works in a live data centre environment, ensuring SLA availability and Tier 3 compliance. Stakeholder Engagement: Manage client relationships, internal teams, and external contractors to ensure alignment and successful delivery. Scope & Drawings: Review and define project scope, demarcation, and responsibilities using MEP and civil/architectural drawings. On-Site Leadership: Be present on-site full-time to manage works, temporary works plans, and compliance with CDM and UK construction regulations. Program Efficiency: Identify gaps and opportunities to expedite programs and optimize work packages. Digital Tools: Proficient in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and SharePoint for document control, mark-ups, and collaboration with PMO teams. Reporting: Produce weekly progress reports, track blockers, and provide clear next steps and recommendations. Risk Management: Maintain a project risk register and trace all risks back to cost and time impacts. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all safety standards and regulatory requirements. Problem Solving: Be solution-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in overcoming challenges without compromising safety. Skills & Experience Proven experience in data centre projects (live environments preferred). Strong MEP background with ability to manage contractors and consultants. Familiarity with BMS, fire, and security systems . Excellent understanding of CDM regulations and UK construction standards. Proficiency in ACC , SharePoint, and digital collaboration tools. An International Real Estate Investment firm are looking for an experienced MEP Design Manager to work on commercial and hotel projects. This exciting client side MEP Design Manager position will require you to have client side or consultancy experience with global design standards and the ability to lead a dynamic team from a strategic point of view. Your in depth knowledge of MEP design from an international perspective is core to supporting this role. As MEP Design Manager you will ideally be a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) and will be responsible for planning, organising, leading, coordinating and controlling all activities concerned with the construction of Mechanical Piping / HVAC Projects. You will participate in the conceptual development of engineering construction projects and lead the organization, scheduling and implementation. You will be the key point of contact with the client and build and create strong, assertive and positive relationships. You will also ensure that the site meets and exceeds environmental, health and safety standards. Responsibilities: Project Start-Up: * Validate project, develop business plan, cost control system, cash flow and billable schedules * You will be tasked with producing procurement plan, drawing / design plan, construction programme, s-curve and histogram * Liaise with client and design team on procurement and engineering issues * Develop project safety and quality plans * Mobilise sub-contractors and labour in accordance with business plan Project Running Phase: * Agree a training plan for staff and operatives particular to your site in conjunction with the Operations Manager * Manage your site team in the effective day to day running of site activities * Ensure compliance with programme, materials deliveries and engineering, quality and safety issues * Hold weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors and ensure that safety and training are implemented * Ensure effective cost and sales control in conjunction with Q.S * Ensure productivity at work is measured on a weekly basis to maintain project progress control Project Completion: * Ensure testing and commissioning is carried out in accordance with the Quality Plan * Ensure final design audit (if applicable) is carried out. * Complete and certify all ‘life systems’ in good time for handover date * Ensure all systems are demonstrated to Client and District Surveyor * Prepare final account with the QS, submit and agree with client in line with company objective Requirements: * Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer or Senior Trades qualification or equivalent * Significant MEP Design Management experience. * Previous record of delivering MEP commercial, residential or hotel projects * Pre-commissioning & system turnover experience * Piping/HVAC and building services experience * Experience in Process Piping, BMS Systems, HVAC, Clean & Dirty Utilities Piping, is desirable. * Innovates and leads in mechanical/technical activity and challenges. * Mentor and Coach to junior engineers and graduates * Desired Requirements: Strong knowledge of HVAC and Piping installations as well as a solid understanding of Electrical Works on large Commercial or Hotel Projects
