Due to continued robust growth, they are now looking to recruit a Construction Site Manager upon an interim basis to join their leadership team in the Hull area, taking responsibility for a school development in the West Midlands area.
Reporting to the Contract Manager you will take responsibility for the organisation of resources and direction of employees and sub-contractors on site, from the commercial teams procurement, to achieve successful project completion, whilst complying with the terms of the contract, Health Safety policy and procedures, to ensure the project is completed to the desired quality, specification, programme and within budget.
The project is due to commence on the 20th July, with a completion date forecast early September. The ideal applicant will reside close to the Hull area, but be flexible to UK travel, spending time on-site in the West Midlands area.
In return the Construction Site Manager positions offers a pro-rata salary £40- £45,000 per annum, plus Company car and fuel card, Pension Company Laptop and phone
Roles and Responsibilities of Construction Site Manager:
Lead the daily activities of site teams, both in-house and sub-contractors, monitoring performance against contract targets and initiating any necessary corrective actions, under the guidance of the Contracts Manager.
Daily management of site labour levels and tasks.
Communicate with subcontract trades for acquisition of rams. Conduct prestart meetings, provide progress updates and sign off works.
Maintain the flow of information and materials for site activities, through procedures.
Manage the procurement use and discharge of Hired equipment.
Meet all requirements under the Considerate Contractor Scheme.
Compose, file and distribute weekly/monthly site generated reports.
Responsible for the implementation of all onsite SHEQ regulations & guidelines and directives in daily activities.
Maintain all onsite and contract SHEQ documentation.
Maintain close working relationship with client project team.
Provide site progress reports and attend update meetings as required.
To assist Support Officer in population of O&M manuals.
Ownership of snagging/handover process.
To assist Custom Care Liaison in arranging and carrying out onsite client training.
Site Manager to collate all documents required for the reporting of a Near Miss, Accident/Incident and commence the investigation.
