The Estimator will support the work-winning team by preparing accurate cost plans and tenders, working closely with the Estimating Manager, Directors, and wider preconstruction team. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Contribute to tender strategy at pre-tender launch meetings Conduct site visits to fully understand project scope Identify risks/opportunities in design development and agree pricing approach Prepare accurate take-offs from drawings in line with measurement standards Manage supply chain enquiries, assess returns, and adjust for qualifications/exclusions Build net build costs from first principles where quotes are unavailable Prepare preliminaries and design fee budgets with Design/Operations teams Produce accurate net cost estimates and present to the Director Contribute to client meetings and presentations Issue complete and accurate tender handover packs to the delivery team Support tender handover meetings to ensure smooth project mobilisation Maintain strong relationships with supply chain, consultants, and clients Assist with continuous improvement of estimating processes Actively develop personal knowledge and skills relevant to the role
