Bid Manager (Pre-Construction) Sector: Social Housing Planned Maintenance Refurbishment Retrofit We are seeking an experienced and driven Bid Manager to join our growing Pre-Construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in securing high-value projects across the social housing sector, including planned maintenance, refurbishment, decarbonisation and retrofit programmes. Working closely with senior leadership, operational teams and technical specialists, you will lead and manage the entire bid process from opportunity identification through to submission and client engagement. You will be responsible for bringing together our bid strategy, coordinating internal stakeholders and ensuring a seamless and professional client journey throughout the tender process. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple workstreams and has a passion for delivering winning submissions. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process for social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment and retrofit opportunities. Identify and evaluate suitable frameworks, procurement routes and tender opportunities aligned to business growth objectives. Manage framework submissions and maintain strategic framework relationships. Develop and coordinate bid strategies, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client requirements. Launch and chair bid kick-off meetings, establishing clear responsibilities, timelines and deliverables. Liaise with operational, commercial, technical and estimating teams to gather and coordinate bid information. Create compelling, customer-focused submissions that clearly demonstrate value, innovation and social impact. Manage bid programmes and ensure all deadlines are achieved. Act as a key point of contact throughout the pre-construction process, delivering an excellent client experience from initial engagement through to contract award. Maintain a detailed understanding of market trends, procurement frameworks and sector developments. About You Proven experience as a Bid Manager, Senior Bid Coordinator or similar role within construction, social housing or property services. Strong understanding of planned maintenance, refurbishment, retrofit and decarbonisation projects. Experience managing public sector and framework-based tender opportunities. Excellent project management and organisational skills. Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously. Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset.
