Damp & Mould Supervisor Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Location: North London Salary: 32.50 per hour (Umbrella) + Company Vehicle We're currently recruiting for an experienced Damp & Mould Supervisor to join a busy property services team responsible for delivering damp and mould remediation, Healthy Homes repairs, component replacements and general building repairs across a large residential housing portfolio. This is a key role focused on ensuring compliance with Awaab's Law, HHSRS requirements, and wider housing legislation, whilst delivering high-quality repairs and excellent customer outcomes. You will manage works from initial inspection through to completion, overseeing contractors and direct labour teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required standards. Daily Responsibilities of a Damp & Mould Supervisor: Undertaking pre-inspections, work-in-progress inspections and post-inspections Carrying out property inspections and diagnosing building defects Assessing damp, mould, condensation, ventilation, excess cold and water ingress issues Identifying root causes and recommending appropriate remedial solutions Preparing technical reports, specifications, scopes of work and photographic evidence Raising and managing works orders for operatives and contractors Managing repair works through to completion, ensuring compliance with service level agreements Monitoring contractor and operative performance, quality, costs and KPI delivery Reviewing and approving Schedule of Rates (SOR) coding and variations Attending site meetings with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders Supporting complaint investigations, Ombudsman enquiries and insurance claims Maintaining accurate records, inspection notes and supporting documentation Working collaboratively with Housing, Asset Management and Property Services teams Promoting excellent customer service and resident engagement throughout the repair process Requirements of a Damp & Mould Supervisor: Minimum 5 years' experience within social housing repairs, damp and mould, asset management or property maintenance Strong knowledge of building construction, defect diagnosis and building pathology Proven experience assessing damp, mould, condensation, ventilation and water ingress issues Strong understanding of Awaab's Law and HHSRS requirements Experience undertaking property inspections and independently managing remedial works Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM Regulations, asbestos management and health & safety legislation Experience managing contractors, direct labour operatives and specialist subcontractors Good understanding of Schedule of Rates (SOR), variations and cost management Ability to prepare technical specifications, reports and scopes of work Excellent customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and repairs management systems Full UK Driving Licence Benefits for the Damp & Mould Supervisor Role: Temporary to permanent opportunity 37.5-hour working week Company vehicle provided for business use Varied office and site-based role Opportunity to play a key role in resident safety and compliance Long-term career prospects within a growing property services team Regular exposure to a diverse housing portfolio and technical repair projects If you're an experienced Damp & Mould Supervisor with a strong background in social housing repairs and building defect diagnosis, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation committed to improving homes and resident wellbeing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in civil engineering projects, including drainage, reinforced concrete (RC), earthworks, water, and highways works. You will play a key role in overseeing site operations, coordinating multiple gangs, maintaining high health and safety standards, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily site operations across a range of civil engineering activities. Lead and motivate site teams, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to programme. Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inspections. Ensure all RAMS are communicated, understood, and fully implemented. Monitor site health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance at all times. Ensure all operatives are using the correct PPE and following safe systems of work. Report and document near misses, accidents, incidents, and changing site conditions. Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and equipment to maintain productivity. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work plans to guide site teams. Work closely with Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, and clients. Maintain accurate site records and submit weekly timesheets. Identify and resolve problems on site while maintaining quality standards. Manage multiple gangs and support the development of junior operatives and supervisors. Requirements Proven experience as a Foreman within Civil Engineering. Strong background in drainage, reinforced concrete, earthworks, water, and highways projects. Excellent understanding of health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Ability to coordinate labour, plant, and materials effectively. Experience producing site records and completing administrative tasks. A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
