We are currently recruiting for a Internal Planner within the Telecommunications sector for a project starting in London (predominantly London) with potential for a UK placement. Start date: Immediate start Working hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Typical Deliverables: -To plan SDH rings, point to point Lanlinks between customer sites and Nodes; -Prepare detailed splicing schedules and route designs for external teams to build the circuits; -Ensuring full compliance with local authority and statutory provisions for street works (NRSWA); -Maintenance of accurate records of progress and completions on remedy and company tracking databases; -Complete As-built drawings and fibre cable route drawings using AutoCAD & micro station design systems; -Work extremely well within a team and individually to meet targets and expectations; -Most importantly ensure all the planning tasks undertaken are detailed, professional and workable within the timescales. Desired Skills and Experience Essential Experience: - 3 years experience in a network fibre-planning department; - Knowledge of SDH, Ethernet planning; - Experience in Fibre cable planning and Diversion planning; - Understanding of NRSWA - High standards of presentation in all attire, written and verbal levels for meetings in the company management and to external parties such as the customer and Local Authorities; - Working knowledge of Works Manager Systems (i.e. Remedy) and MS Office, particularly Excel and Word; - Experience in AutoCAD &/or Micro station systems for cable drawings and As-built records; - Record in service delivery roles and diversion planning. The projects are predominately focussed on telecoms & fibre. Location: Basingstoke / Thames Valley Remuneration: Negotiable dependant on experience The role: The successful candidate will be a crucial part of the delivery team, being the main point of contact with the Local Authority. The tasks undertaken in this role ensure that all works on the network are permitted and compliant. Responsibilities include: Ensure all necessary Street Works Permits are notified in line with guidance Ensure all Permits and Notices are updated on time. Submit permits and notices and liaising with the Programme Management team & Project Supervisors notifying them of road space bookings To maintain and promote relationships with the Local Authority Submit Traffic Management Notifications and Temporary Traffic Orders.
