Job Purpose To maintain the grounds, gardens, and external areas to a high standard, ensuring they are safe, attractive, and functional for all users. The role involves a range of horticultural, landscaping, and maintenance tasks across sites managed by the organisation. Key Responsibilities Carry out general grounds maintenance including grass cutting, hedge trimming, leaf clearing, strimming, and weeding. Maintain flowerbeds, shrubs, and planted areas through pruning, watering, feeding, and replanting as required. Operate and maintain horticultural machinery and tools safely and efficiently (e.g., mowers, blowers, trimmers). Undertake minor landscaping work such as turfing, edging, and soil preparation. Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy, including litter picking and waste disposal. Carry out winter maintenance activities such as gritting and snow clearance.
