Role Overview: My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company. They are currently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis an experienced Package Manager (Senior Engineer / Sub-Agent level) to work on a new build station project in Northwest London. The role relates to the construction of a new station box - £140m package – Station box, divided into two sections and there is another highly experienced individual in post who will be looking after 50% of the project. Therefore, the box will be split into two sections so the estimated value will be circa £70m per section. Two section engineers and an apprentice enginener will be reporting to the package managers to assit them in the delivery of this section of works. Construction is underway and my client is looking for a strong technically, chartered or nearly chartered individual. Responsibilities & Project Details: The Package Manager will be managing the progress of the sub-contractor. WSP are the Consulting Engineer – Lots of interface with them. Chair meetings to find solutions Contractually and commercially aware to raise EWN Robust individual Strong time management skills Someone on site the majority of the time (potential for some home working) 850m Station Box x 60m wide, excavation 20 m deep 750 CM of clay to be removed, 188,000 cm of rc to pour. Project Controls Manager Department: Project Controls/ Performance Reports to: Head of Project Controls Key relationships Commercial, Planners, Delivery team, Client, Project Controls and Supply Chain. About Q6, Heathrow Airport Our Q6 framework spans from airfield works (taxiways, runways, stands), to civils (roads, demolition works, underground and above ground structures), and MEP packages (services tunnels, lifts, life safety systems, fuel/fire mains). Key responsibilities * Responsible for a portfolio of Projects for the purpose of project performance analysis / reporting and cost / programme integration according to the Contract requirements / works information * Responsible for development of the project baseline across scope, time, cost, risk, schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification, opportunities for improvement and earned value management of the programme. * Comprehensive understanding of Primavera P6 and produce cost loading programme. * Coordination point with all parties involved in the month end progress process/ project controls management. * Reporting and Dashboard production using Power BI. * Expert Planning and scheduling knowledge. * Prepare and assess cost forecasts. * Work with relevant people (commercials, section leads and site agents) to verify their costs to complete. Key Skills and qualifications * Experience in project controls. * Previous experience of cost management systems within a major civil engineering project. * Previous knowledge of construction scheduling using Primavera P6. * Previous experience using Power BI is preferable. * Strong knowledge on how to measure civil engineering works. * Good understanding of NEC3 contracts. * Good IT skills and adaptability. * Sound interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with the supply chain, colleagues and Client. * Ability to manage a small team and deliver timely high-quality reports. * Excel – high level of capability. Clerk of Works West London and North/North West London Working in the West and/or North West London area on behalf of our Client, a leading multi-disciplined construction and property consultancy, we are seeking a Clerk of Works who can demonstrate an ability in undertaking inspections of building works in progress in new build residential sites, liaising with Building Contractors and preparing reports for Employer's Agents and Project Management. Preferably a member of ICWIC, or other designations such as CIOB, CABE, RICS or IFE, our Client provides a definitive range of services to the UK building and construction industry covering chartered building & quantity surveying, project management, architecture & master planning, civil & structural engineering, mechanical & electrical engineering, sustainability and health & safety. With a portfolio of £200 GDV already built, their confirmed pipeline of work now stands at £300 gross development value which equates to circa 600 units. Currently having their build outsourced to a Main Contractor, this process is managed by an Employers Agent before being handed over to their customer service team. Due to substantial growth over the past couple of years, they have now set up their own Construction arm that will carry out the build with their first project already coming out of the ground. In addition, any experience working for a main contractor or developer would be beneficial. Strong relationships with Tier 1 sub contractors/supply chains would be a massive advantage due to the quality of their product.
