My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company.
They are currently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis an experienced Package Manager (Senior Engineer / Sub-Agent level) to work on a new build station project in Northwest London.
The role relates to the construction of a new station box - £140m package – Station box, divided into two sections and there is another highly experienced individual in post who will be looking after 50% of the project.
Therefore, the box will be split into two sections so the estimated value will be circa £70m per section.
Two section engineers and an apprentice enginener will be reporting to the package managers to assit them in the delivery of this section of works.
Construction is underway and my client is looking for a strong technically, chartered or nearly chartered individual.

WSP are the Consulting Engineer – Lots of interface with them.

Currently having their build outsourced to a Main Contractor, this process is managed by an Employers Agent before being handed over to their customer service team. Due to substantial growth over the past couple of years, they have now set up their own Construction arm that will carry out the build with their first project already coming out of the ground. Once established, they want to become a traditional contractor who will specialise in the residential market in London. This will be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project/Contracts Manager who will have the autonomy and flexibility to build a completely new construction business.

Daily duties will include:

Fawkes & Reece are proud to be assisting a successful, bespoke house builder based in North London with a search for an experienced Construction Buyer.
Our client has over 30 years experience in house building, with a proven track record of delivering new build and refurbishment schemes in London, primarily focusing on the high end / bespoke market.
The Construction Buyer will be responsible for procuring materials for residential new build projects ranging from 50 - 100 units in size, working on traditional build and RC frame scheme.
Daily duties will include:
-Creating procurement schedule in line with construction programmes
-Measurement
-Basic understanding of architectural and structural drawings
-Ordering materials and raise purchase order for sites on daily basis
-To be able to negotiate rates, sales and tender enquiries
-Procure materials/sub-contract packages such as windows, kitchens, appliances, sanitaryware, internal finishes, carpentry and all other fixtures required
-Prepare competitive tender packages and ensure procure within the budget set-out
-To be able to design/redesign and suggest varieties of packages to suit the types of developments
-Check and authorise supplier's invoices as well as raise query to any discrepancies or unsuccessful delivery, etc.
-To record all site plants/equipment hired and manage on weekly basis
-Liaise with site agent and site manager
