The Position & Accountabilities Reporting to the Head of Construction, the Construction Project Manager is responsible for the preparation, delivery and completion of the construction phase of renewable energy Storage projects ensuring compliance with the requirements set out by the Project Brief, the Head of Construction (cost, time, safety, quality and environmental performance), in contracts, RES / customer management systems and all current relevant legislation. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join AFRY's Energy Division within the expanding Renewable Energy team in the UK and Ireland. In this role, you'll lead the delivery of renewable energy projects-supporting clients from development through to construction, with a focus on Great Britain, Ireland, and Northern Ireland. Key responsibilities: Manage multi-contract and EPC projects through pre-construction and construction phases Support clients and funders to reach Financial Close Lead tendering and contract negotiations for major equipment and Balance of Plant packages Prepare project delivery plans, budgets, and programmes Administer construction contracts and manage variations and claims Ensure safety standards and statutory roles are met Contribute to business development and mentor junior engineers Qualifications We expect you to have the following skills (but we don't expect anyone to tick every box): A degree in an Engineering, Project Management or Renewables focused subject Bea Chartered Engineer (or working towards / close to Chartered or Incorporated status); or Project Management Professional status or working towards it A minimum of 6years' experience as a Project Manager on renewable energy projects or a closely related infrastructure sector is a requirement with experience of performing the PSDP role on projects You have a proven track record on business development You are a self-starter, ambitious and able to manage multiple tasks.You have excellent written and oral communication skills and are willing to work in a variety of different roles Experience of one or more of the following would be an advantage: Recognised Project Management training; Business management experience Previous experience providing consulting services in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment; Commercial awareness and contract knowledge (e.g. FIDIC, NEC or similar); Design experience gained from concept development and detailed engineering; Practical experience gained from construction, commissioning, and testing; Company Description AFRY is an international engineering, design and advisory company. Overview Job Title: Civils Site Manager Reporting to: Senior Project Manager/Project Director Business Unit: Renewables Role purpose This role will be based on site (AB55). The Site manager is required by the Omexom Scotland Renewables Business Unit working closely with the Project Manager, and other members of the project time to ensure the safe, efficient and productive delivery of the projects assigned. Responsibilities & Duties Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Represent Omexom professionally with various internal and external stakeholders. Day-to-day supervision of site personnel, subcontractors, and general workers on site. Ensure site management procedures and policies are being always followed by site personnel. Have a working knowledge of construction health, safety, and environmental legislation. Liaison with the client HSE advisors and support teams. Liaison with individuals from the site management, engineering, and commissioning teams. Monitoring and logging of the Contractor's progress and performance on site supporting the Project Manager and Site Supervisors. Assist with programme development and resource planning. Represent Omexom at client meetings. Work closely with the Project Manager to manage project costs and income, ensuring commercial targets are met. Provide technical support to the engineering team, continuously looking for improvement in the work package delivery process.
