Head of Estates Location: Yorkshire Contract: 6 month interim Rate: 350 - 400 per day Finegreen are supporting a leading healthcare organisation in West Yorkshire with the appointment of an experienced Head of Estates . This is a significant senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished Estates professional to take responsibility for the delivery, performance and strategic development of a complex healthcare estate. Joining at an exciting period of investment and transformation, the successful candidate will provide professional leadership across Estates Technical Services and Capital Development, ensuring the organisation maintains a safe, compliant, sustainable and high-performing environment for patients, staff and visitors. The Role The Head of Estates will have overall responsibility for a broad technical portfolio incorporating operational Estates and maintenance, mechanical and electrical asset management, statutory compliance, capital development, medical engineering, fire safety, Health & Safety, asbestos and Legionella control, waste, sustainability, utilities, energy management, property utilisation and external contract management. The role will lead the Premises Assurance Model (PAM) and ensure accurate submission of Estates data including PAM, ERIC and CQC requirements. A key focus will be maintaining robust compliance across all HTM disciplines, ensuring appropriately qualified Authorised Persons are in place for critical systems including medical gases, ventilation, water, fire, electrical infrastructure, decontamination and lifts. Key Responsibilities The postholder will provide visible leadership across Estates services, lead maintenance and capital programmes, develop Estates strategy and improvement plans, ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, manage PPM and risk systems, oversee external contractors, and lead multidisciplinary technical teams. They will also manage budgets, drive efficiency and CIP delivery, develop KPIs, and support capital project delivery while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across clinical, operational and external partners. The Candidate The ideal candidate will be a senior Estates leader with significant NHS or healthcare experience, a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, and membership of a professional body such as CIBSE, IHEEM, RICS or RIBA. Chartered status or working towards it is desirable. Strong technical knowledge of HTMs, compliance, capital delivery, contract management and team leadership is essential.

Location: Southampton/Fareham Duration: 6 months on going contract Suitable candidates must have full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle as would be required to cover two sites in Fareham Role Overview: The Facilities Manager (FM) has responsibility for the effective delivery of facilities services for all building users including staff, visitors, clients and tenants. The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that the physical environment is fit for purpose in terms of premises, the facilities are fully compliant with regard to health and safety and that the organisation has the appropriate level of FM services and support for their operational requirements. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage on a day-to-day basis the Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract ensuring that the Agency's buildings are appropriately maintained, safe and compliant within the agreed budget. Manage, monitor and improve the Facility Management Services that are provided via third parties ensuring they are delivered as specified the required quality and standards against agreed Key Performance Indicators and within the budget agreed. Responsible for developing, agreeing and implementing processes, procedures and guidance to support those (Building Custodians) responsible at site level. Oversee the facilities management services within the Spring Place Head Office fulfilling the role of 'building custodian' with the Facilities team providing help/support and advice to HQ staff whilst also supporting the HM Coastguard Joint Rescue Coordination Centre and Daedalus facilities. Manage a program of audits on the Agency's buildings and facilities to check that the contract specification is being complied with and works/services are to the required standard. Undertake reactive and remedial works as necessary in order to ensure buildings are fit for purpose, safe and compliant. Produce briefs and specifications in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders and internal clients. Make sure works are carried out after liaison with colleagues throughout the Estate. Audit contractor works on site (either directly or indirectly) to check compliance with Construction & Design Management regulations (CDM) health and safety requirements. Work closely with colleagues in the Health & Safety team and ensure working practices within your area of responsibility are compliant with legislative and MCA policies and procedures. Review the information provided from inspections undertaken by and the recommendations made by the TFM contractor with regard to lifecycle upgrades and replacements and make recommendations to the Head of Facilities, Head of Property and Assistant Director of Estates in respect of any remedial or replacement project works to include an evaluation of costs, timescales, and impacts. Utilise appropriate IT systems to ensure that all assets are recorded for inspection and maintenance purposes and are accurate and up to date.
