Quantity Surveyor (Reactive Maintenance)

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Reactive Maintenance) Salary: Dependent on experience Location: Birmingham, West Midlands Parker Jones Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a national social housing contractor who is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a reactive maintenance background, to join their team based in the Birmingham area. Job Role & Responsibilities: Qualified Quantity Surveyor with a background within Responsive Maintenance. * Production of applications/valuations * Cost management * CVR reporting and forecasting * Stock Condition Surveys * Minimising cost, maximising value and protecting profit * Utilise Direct labour and subcontractors to ensure works have labour targets and deliver agreed profit * Procure Subcontractors, materials and plant * Resolve any contractual issues from our client and supply chain * Ensuring full delivery team is aware of our contractual & commercial requirements * Manage cash collection * Reporting progress to senior management * Agreement of final accounts and completion of required client documentation to facilitate client approval Knowledge/Experience: * Professional Qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent * Previous experience of Responsive repairs/Voids/Facilities contracts is preferable * Previous experience of working with Schedules of rates etc. * Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors * Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting * Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative * Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines * Ability to encourage and support other members of the commercial team Package: * Competitive salary * Car allowance/Company car * Holidays + bank holidays * Cycle to work scheme * Life assurance entitlement * Pension contributions
