Senior Estimator

A leading contractor is looking for a senior estimator to join their growing team in Manchester. The contractor is involved in building major warehouses & sheds and is one of the fast growing contractors in the UK at the moment. Duties & Responsibilities * Leading the tenders on large projects * Accountable and ensuring estimates produced are robust * Leading and preparing the complete commercial and pricing element of tenders or cost plan * Reporting on the progress of tenders during weekly/ monthly meetings * Identifying opportunities to add value through the project * Identifying and escalating risks You must have a degree or equivalent in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or extensive experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in the relevant field. You will be commercially astute and excellent knowledge of construction processes and preferably worked on large, multi million pound schemes. A strong motivator with good communication skills is a must and be able to mentor junior staff. As the senior estimator you will report into the estimating director.
