Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a Main Contractor who now have a pipeline of Commercial Building projects in and around York and Leeds over the next 3-5 years. The projects include a Commercial Building and mixed use Commercial Museum / residential accommodation Schemes which have been designed by a highly experienced Design team of Architects and Engineers. To support the existing Commercial management team, they now require an experienced “Quantity Surveyor” with 2-5 years’ experience, ideally with a Main Contracting background. You will support the post contract delivery phase of a range of commercial projects in the Region including York and Leeds ranging from £5M to £40M. The successful candidate will have the following experience and abilities:- * A graduate Quantity Surveyor with a Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with a commercial Contracting environment in a Senior Commercial role * Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent * Experience of Commercial Design and Build Schemes is desireable * Experience of a range of Contractual forms and agreements * Ability to relate well to internal colleagues and external client’s * Network amongst the local Supply Chain and Design teams would be of interest. * Commercial awareness to minimise risk to margin * The ability to manage works packages on project upwards of circa £5M The role will be on a permanent position with significant opportunity for development and movement within this dynamic organisation.
