JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Steel Fixer Location: Hinkley Point Power Station, Somerset - Southwest of Bristol (Lodgings Paid for) Job Duration: Long term, Full-time - permanent contract Hours: 55 to 77 hours a week (Weekends Double Pay) Shifts - Night shifts only - (6pm to 5am and 7pm to 6am - 1 hour break) PAY: Minimum to maximum Estimated Gross Pay (Per Week) - Does not include Overtime + Night shifts Blue card (Level 2): Up to £1,600 (+ £291 Digs allowance) Gold card (Level 3): Up to £1,660 (+ £291 Digs allowance) (PAYE ONLY) Saturday - 1st 4 hours at time and half. All other hours at double time. Sunday - All hours at double time. Night shift attracts: a 25% uplift on base pay. You MUST be a steel fixer with around 5 years of Steel Fixing experience. Job duties: * Setting out the work area, following engineering plans * Using hand and power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh * Tying steel reinforcement bars (rebars) to build cages * Fitting spacers and chairs (supports) * Using rebar to build special casts to keep setting concrete in place * Fixing steel to concrete bases * Installing beams and pre-cast slabs. MUST HAVE: (IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT DOCUMENT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET ON THE JOB - PLEASE CHECK THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT DOCUMENTS ) A valid CSCS card (MUST BE AN ORIGINAL CITB CARD) Valid HS&E (Health & Safety - it is valid for 3 years) Right to work Documents (PASSPORT - and sharecode if not British) Proof Of Address ( Driving license / Bank statement / Energy Bill ) NI Number 5 years address history 3 year employment history Willing to relocate or live near the power station (Accommodation & Travel will be paid for) Able to pass a drug & alcohol and health test At least 2 references from previous steel fixing roles Updated CV Whats in it for you?
