Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor

Fawkes and Recce are currently working with an M&E Sub-Contractor who are looking to expand their MEP Team through the addition of a new Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor. Our client has been established for well over 50 years and is currently achieving record levels of turnover and only expects to grow exponentially in the years to come. To match this, they will need solid Senior-Level personnel on-board to support their expansion. The project is an industrial project close to Reading Station, averaging an MEP value of c£15 million. The role would require the successful candidate to be comfortable ensuring the timely receipt of quotations for materials, equipment and sub-contractor works, undertake commercial assessment of quotes received and ensure the timely placement of orders. You would need to demonstrate understanding of internal and external tender strategies and would also need to possess strong timekeeping skills as you will be required to make sure all contractual processes are completed on time. Being a confident and effective communicator is key for this role and you will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. Ideally, they are looking for someone with experience with health care and laboratory projects and they will need to be confident in their abilities to take charge of the project.
