A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Quantity Surveyor to join a company that are specialist and experienced providers to the Energy, Food Processing and Pharmaceutical Industry with a unique Building Services. From a process concept the company advise and partner with our clients to ensure the correct Mechanical & Electrical solution, bespoke to their needs. The candidate is expected to be conscientious, enthusiastic, well organised, and professional. They must provide a constant positive influence on the team, encourage others and lead by example. The candidate is expected to be proactive with developing their own and others knowledge, while driving standards and quality throughout the team. Job Role: Quantity Surveyor Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Salary negotiable dependent on experience Company Car Job Type: Permeant Responsibilities: * Preparing valuations for interim application for payment including variations * Preparing subcontract enquiries and order documentation * Preparing, negotiating, and agreeing final accounts * Re-measurement of Bills of Quantities * Preparing cost budgets and prices for contract variations * Preparing subcontract valuation and payment certificates * Monitoring costs to ensure budgets are met * Preparation of contract claims information * Evaluating/selecting subcontract tenders * Checking material sizes and quantities for procurement * Setting up and maintaining contract files Skills: * Excellent client liaison, negotiation, and IT skills * Well organised and attention to detail * Self-starter and ability to work on own initiative and bring added value to the project team * Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness including financial and contract management * Ability to build strong relationships with contractors * Diligent with acute cost control skills Requirements: * Degree/Qualification in Quantity Surveying - Not essential * Minimum 5 years’ experience * Knowledge and experience in building services, HVAC
