Designer – Timber Structures Job Title: Designer – Timber Frame Industry Sector: Designer, Designer Timber Frame, Off Site Manufacture, Roof Trusses, Joinery, AutoCAD, CAD, Flat Roofs, Timber, Timber Frame, Timber Structures, Structural Timber, Glulam, Natural Timber, CLT, Cross Laminated Timber, Engineered Timber, Main Contractors, Architects, Specifiers, Engineers Location: Remote (ideally based Bristol or London) Remuneration: £30,000 - £40,000neg Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package The role of the Designer – Timber Structures will involve: * Designer position dealing with a range of timber frame projects for main contractors and house builders * Prepare 3D design drawings for timber structures, connections and interface details * Producing 2D drawings for each project stage including: arrangement drawings, detail drawings and fabrication drawings * Ensure that all designs meet the client requirements so that offsite manufacturing can take place * Liaise regularly with architects, engineers, and contractors providing excellent customer service * Work closely with internal departments providing support and resolving queries * Ensure designs meet quality standards, building regulations, and H&S requirements * Working on projects varying in value from £250,000 to circa £2m The ideal applicant will be a Designer – Timber Structures industry with: * Must have design experience within the construction industry, ideally dealing with timber frame / timber structures / timber construction * Must have experience working with Rhino3D and Grasshopper * Ideally will have other software experience such as: Revit, AutoCAD, CS Suite etc * Would be a suitable role for a Timber Designer, Draughtsperson, Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist * Must be comfortable working remotely * Highly organised with good attention to detail * Excellent communicator written and verbally * Computer literate (Microsoft Office) * Ability to work in a fast paced environment Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Jobs, Construction Vacancies and Specification Positions within: Designer, Designer Timber Frame, Off Site Manufacture, Roof Trusses, Joinery, AutoCAD, CAD, Flat Roofs, Timber, Timber Frame, Timber Structures, Structural Timber, Glulam, Natural Timber, CLT, Cross Laminated Timber, Engineered Timber, Main Contractors, Architects, Specifiers, Engineers
