Quantity Surveyor

An extremely exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, privately owned contractor based in Oxford within their Projects Division, assisting with the delivery of projects up to the value of £20M. This contractor is a long-established regional construction company in the South, working on various projects including new build, fit out and refurbishment in the education, residential, health, leisure, commercial and industrial sector. The main responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be supporting and reporting to the Commercial Manager, assisting with planning and subcontract procurement, BOQs, take off, valuation and variations, site appraisals, scheduling, chasing payments, cost reviews, CVRs and final accounts. The Candidate: * Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying * Main contracting background * Strong leadership skills, with project experience up to the value of £20M * Experience in managing a team of QS’s and AQS’s * Experience in D&B and traditional * Competent with the JCT suite of Contracts and NEC would also be useful * Exposure to 2 stage procurement routes Benefits include a generous car allowance, holiday, pension and other company perks.
