I am working in partnership with an established modern contractor who have a solid reputation in the industry, turnover circa £250m. They are actively seeking to recruit a Design Manager to join their growing team.
The Job - Design Manager

Establishment of design management protocols
*
Clear communication of expectations for design deliverables with designers/design sub-contractors
*
Ability to oversee and amend construction drawings
*
Work on medium-large sized new build residential schemes
*
Oversee site set ups
*
Oversee and help put together programmes
*
Delivery of fully co-coordinated and detailed design proposals and production information in time and within budget for design work, procurement and construction
*
Leading and minuting design team meetings
*
Liaison with the commercial team for cost checking
*
Completion, maintenance and monitoring of records
*
Document management
Minimum Requirements
*
Have recent, relevant experience as a Design Coordinator/Assistant Design Manager for a Main Contractor/Architectural firm
*
Architecturally Professionally Qualified either RIBA/ARB/MCIAT registered, or Part 1/HND(C) Qualified
*
Must have experience on UK residential schemes
*
Experience in the use of JCT Design & Build Contracts, with good construction drawing detail/building regulations/legislation knowledge.
*
Be able to demonstrate longevity of service
