Project Engineer / Senior Engineer Central London Main Contractor - fit out / heavy refurbishment £60,000 - £80,000 & package Our Client a prestigious main contractor is continuously focused on building a strong culture that connects their people and drives their business. They are seeking to employ a new Project Engineer to come into the business and join the existing construction team. This position has been identified due to exceptional demand from their clients at the present time. Project Engineer is responsible for; Manage and deliver projects (or parts of projects) in line with project documentation, considering scope, quality and safety requirements Control a project (or parts of projects) on and off site, within time, quality, cost parameters and stakeholder relationships Overall technical coordination of the construction process, in conjunction with the senior project management team through the coordination and documentation of design and programme requirements Provide a link between design, building services and sub-contractors to ensure project objectives are met Reporting to Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager as applicable You must be able to show the following skills and attributes; Demonstrates ability to delegate, mentor and supervise Is a leader who demonstrates a preference for team building Has the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes Is quality focused and can assess risk Is prepared to question and consult Ensures conflict is managed appropriately Displays the ability to facilitate change and make decisions Inspires and enthuses their team by empowering and trusting them to deliver Basic contracts management knowledge Proficiency in project management and planning software, e.g. Aconex, MS Project etc Personal: Shows initiative and adaptability Demonstrates time management, planning and organisational skills Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills and can easily build rapport Is innovative and has the ability to solve problems Strong people management and client management Qualifications/Experience: Tertiary Qualifications in Building/Construction Management or Civil Engineering At least 5 years' experience working within the building and construction industry
